Effective as of  September 1, 2016

Thank you for visiting edgemont2017.org, edgemont2017.com, thevillageofedgemont.com, and thevillageofedgemont.org (severally, the “Site”). This Privacy Policy applies only to the Site, which is controlled by the Edgemont Incorporation Committee and/or affiliated entities (“we”, “our” or “us”). This Privacy Policy does not pertain to information that is collected offline. BY USING THE SITE, YOU CONSENT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY AND TO OUR PROCESSING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION FOR THE PURPOSES STATED BELOW. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT USE THE SITE.

Specific information regarding our data practices is detailed below.

We collect two types of information from visitors to the Site: (1) Personal Information; and (2) Non-Personal Information, such as your IP address or cookies.

1. Personal Information

When we use the term “Personal Information” we mean information we may collect that allows others to identify or contact you. For instance, we may collect your e-mail address if you agree to receive newsletters and other information from us. We may also pair that with your location and other information that you provide to ensure that you are eligible to receive services from us and that the information we provide will likely be relevant to you. We also collect survey information that we use to determine view points about subject matter queried.

The above provides an example of the Personal Information that may be collected on the Site. While you’re under no obligation to provide the information requested, if you decline to do so, we may be unable to provide you with certain services or be aware of your specific interests and concerns. If you do not want us to collect your Personal Information, please do not provide it to us.

2. Non-Personal Information

“Non-Personal Information” can be technical information or it can be demographic information, such as your age, gender, zip code or other geolocation data, or interests. Non-Personal Information does NOT identify you personally. Here are some examples of the Non-Personal Information that is collected via the Site and a description of how this information is used:

• Internet Protocol (IP) address – Your IP address is a number that lets computers attached to the Internet know where to send you data – such as the web pages you view. We use this information to deliver our web pages to you upon request, to tailor our Site to the interests of our users and to measure traffic within our Site.

• Cookies – A "cookie" is a small text file that may be used to collect information about your activity on the Site. For example, when someone visits a page within the Site, a cookie is placed on the user's machine (if the user accepts cookies) or is read if the user has visited the Site previously. You may set most browsers to notify you if you receive a cookie, or you may choose to block cookies with your browser, but if you do, you may not be able to take advantage of the personalized features enjoyed by other users of our Site. Some of the cookies that we use may be Flash cookies or Adobe cookies. While they are harmless, they may contain Demographic Information (defined below) and, depending on your browser, these cookies may not normally be deleted when your cookies are deleted. Please check your browser to determine where these types of cookies are stored and how they may be deleted.

• Web Beacons (also known as “clear gifs,” “web bugs” or “pixel tags”) – “Web Beacons” are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to allow us to count users who have visited certain pages of the Site and to help determine the effectiveness of our programs and services. When used in HTML-formatted e-mail messages, web beacons can tell the sender whether and when an e-mail has been opened. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, web beacons are embedded invisibly on web pages.

• Demographic Information – “Demographic Information” may be your gender, age, zip code and interests which may be collected through the Site. We use this information to provide you with personalized services and to analyze trends to ensure the information provided by the Site meets your needs. Please note that we also consider aggregated information, which is not personally identifiable, to be Non-Personal Information.

The above list provides examples of the Non-Personal Information that may be collected via the Site. We may collect the above Non-Personal Information from all visitors to our Site. If you do not want us to have access to this information, please do not visit our Site.

(vii) To protect against potential fraud, we may verify with third parties the information collected from the Site. In the course of such verification, we may receive Personal Information about you from such services. Except as described in this Privacy Policy or at the time we request the information, we do not otherwise use, share or otherwise disclose your Personal Information to any third parties helping us administer the Site or our services. We cannot control, and make no representations about, the collection or use of your information by such third parties. If you choose to register for or subscribe to any such third party product or service, any further correspondence between you and such third party including, without limitation, any resulting contractual agreements, are solely between you and the advertiser/third party. We will not be responsible for upholding any applicable terms, conditions, representations or warranties made by the advertiser/third party in connection therewith and shall otherwise have no liability associated with your interaction with such third party.

F. How Can You Correct Any Inaccuracies in Your Personal Information?

If you have any concerns regarding the accuracy of information that we may have collected about you and would like access to such information, please contact us at edgemont2017@gmail.com.

I. How Do We Respond To Do Not Track Signals?

Please note that our Site does not support “Do Not Track” browser settings and does not currently participate in any “Do Not Track” frameworks that would allow us to respond to signals or other mechanisms from you regarding the collection of your Personal or Non-Personal Information.

J. Assignment

In the event that all or part of our assets are sold or acquired by another party, or in the event of a merger, you grant us the right to assign the Personal and Non-Personal Information collected via the Site.

K. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy as our services grow and improve or to respond to changing legal regulations or business concerns. When we do, we will also revise the “effective” date at the top of this Privacy Policy. For changes to this Privacy Policy that may be materially less restrictive on our use or disclosure of Personal Information you have provided to us, we will attempt to obtain your consent before implementing the change by sending a notice to the primary e-mail address we have on file or by placing a prominent notice on the Site.
